Quality Management for Industrial Chain Production

At Hangzhou Dongteng Industrial Co., Ltd., quality control covers incoming materials, production processes, finished products, and pre-shipment inspection. Our quality and environmental management is supported by ISO 9001:2000 and ISO 14001:2004 certifications.
For different international markets and product requirements, chain production can follow applicable ANSI, DIN/BS, and JIS standards. Our inspection process focuses on key product characteristics such as dimensions, chain pitch, tensile strength, and hardness.

End-to-End Quality Inspection Workflow

Quality inspection is carried out at different stages of production rather than only at the final inspection stage:
Incoming Material Inspection: Materials and incoming components are checked before entering production. This provides an initial quality check before forming, heat treatment, and assembly processes begin.
In-Process Inspection: Inspection is carried out during production to check key product requirements. Dimensional tolerances, chain pitch accuracy, and other applicable specifications are checked according to the product requirements. Heat-treated components are also subject to hardness and related quality checks to verify the required material condition after heat treatment.
Finished Product Inspection: Before shipment, finished chains undergo final inspection. Key inspection items include dimensional and tolerance inspection, chain pitch accuracy checks, tensile strength and breaking load testing, surface and core hardness testing, and finished product specification checks.
Final inspection confirms that the finished products meet the agreed product requirements before packing and shipment.

In-House Testing Equipment & Inspection Items

Dongteng maintains in-house testing equipment for key mechanical and material-related inspections:

Production and inspection can be aligned with ANSI, DIN/BS, and JIS requirements according to the product and customer specifications.

Vickers Hardness Tester:

Hardness testing is used to check the surface and core hardness of chain components following heat treatment. The results help verify the required hardness condition for the specified product.

Metallographic Microscope:

A metallographic microscope is used for material and microstructure examination, supporting inspection related to heat-treated chain components.

Hydraulic Tensile Testing Machine:

A hydraulic tensile testing machine is used for tensile strength and breaking load testing of chain products, providing inspection data for mechanical strength requirements.

Dimensional & Pitch Inspection:

Dimensional and tolerance checks are used to verify key chain dimensions. Chain pitch accuracy is also inspected according to the applicable product specification and required standard.

Export Inspection & Packaging Quality

Final inspection is completed before each batch is shipped. In addition to product quality checks, the condition of the finished goods and export packaging is confirmed before loading:

Rust Protection:

Chains are treated with oil or immersed in oil as required before packing to provide rust protection during storage and transportation.

Moisture Protection:

Products are enclosed in plastic bags to reduce exposure to moisture during long-distance transportation and ocean freight.

Pre-Shipment Inspection:

Each shipment undergoes final inspection before dispatch, including checks on finished products and packaging condition.

Pre-Shipment Confirmation:

Before shipment, the finished products and packaging are checked according to the required order and shipping arrangements. This final inspection helps confirm product condition before the goods leave the factory.

Quality Control for Long-Term Supply

Our quality control process covers incoming materials, production stages, finished products, and pre-shipment inspection. For standard, OEM, and non-standard chain orders, we focus on product specifications, applicable international standards, and final product condition before shipment.
